Torrent Description If you don't know about Phantom Planet, they were a great guitar-pop band which is now a bit more of a rock band. Here are their first two albums, Phantom Planet Is Missing, and their mainstream success The Guest (featuring single 'California' of O.C. fame). I had these rips from back when Lame 192TS was acceptable; but they sound good and were ripped properly. Also included are a few extra tracks of varying qualities (Lame VBR, 192TS, 160JS and 128TS, respectively) that I've come across, including the excellent eponymous b-side from The Guest. Somehow the old songs on the first two albums are always worth coming back to and are catchy to the point of being infectious with excellent execution of harmonies, style and form to the point of being ingenius. Enjoy the extremely well done guitar-pop beginnings of this talented band! P.S. Like any band they've evolved over time and tried on different styles (see self-titled album from 2004), but for the interested, their newest album Raise The Dead just came out the other day, and represents a bit of a return to form with an incorporation of the grungier style they explored on their self-titled into the pop flare which permeated their sound at their inception. Also be sure to check out my rip of their recent Limited Edition Tour EP. ~grenole/osmosis
